Our Firmwide Information Services department has an excellent opportunity for a Network Engineer in our Cleveland office. The individual will be responsible for the administration, support, monitoring and troubleshooting of the Firm’s telecommunications and networking infrastructure with a focus on security. This includes all firewalls, security appliances, servers, remote access, messaging, LAN/WAN, internet and voice/data communications systems and circuits. Specific duties include the following:

• Tier 2 & 3 end user support for more than 1,450 users in 11 geographic locations.
• Support of a Service Level Agreement which articulates uptime and performance commitments.
• Maintain standard procedures and system standards to optimize the Firm’s technology.
• Maintain system documentation, configuration and implementation.
• Act as technical contact for vendors regarding the Firm’s networked systems and applications.
• Maintenance and support of all security systems.
• Maintenance and support of all user remote access methods.
• Implement and support data backup and recovery methodology and processes.
• Maintain proper documentation on all aspects of the Firm’s infrastructure systems.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge of pertinent infrastructure software and hardware.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years experience in the technology field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Law Firm experience highly desirable. Microsoft and/or Cisco certifications preferred. Security certifications preferred (completed or in process.)
• Extensive experience with MS Office 2007 or greater, Windows 7 and/or VMWare, and with Cisco.
• A demonstrated ability for network troubleshooting; to creatively diagnose and solve complex problems involving hardware, software and end users.
• A proven ability to lead and build consensus among peers and staff.
• Interpersonal communication skills necessary to maintain effective relationships with partners, attorneys, clients and staff.

Knowledge Systems Project Manager – Matter Information Management – NY – New York

Position Summary:
The Knowledge Systems Project Manager for Matter Information Management is responsible for managing a variety of products and services related to matter lifecycle information management systems, related projects and initiatives: plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes assessing business related needs, securing and interfacing with both technical and non-technical resources as required and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.

Projects will involve intranets, extranets, enterprise search, new business intake (“NBI”) systems, compliance management systems (“LegalKEY”) as well yet to be determined matter information management systems. Additional responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining the necessary project management office framework and reporting capabilities.

The person in this position should have knowledge of and prior experience with best practices for effectively rolling out and managing software-based initiatives and projects as well as experience in business process engineering and change management. The candidate should also have prior experience regarding the use of web-based and other software tools. This person will serve as the lead manager responsible for complete set up and on-going support of various matter information management systems, interfacing directly with users to ensure all systems, tools, communication plans and training curriculums are in place to facilitate the deployment of the defined business solutions.

This position may involve domestic and international travel and must perform other duties as required by management.

General Requirements:

• Bachelors degree and 7 - 10 years of relevant work experience
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Substantial knowledge of project management techniques and tools
• Work experience in project management capacity, in strategic planning, in risk management and in change management.
• Ability to lead teams and strong leadership skills.
• Experience in projects encompassing vendor management skills.
• Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills

Technical Requirements:

• Legal compliance experience (LegalKEY is preferable)
• Workflow design and automation experience (no product specific)
• Exposure and general understanding of SharePoint 2010
• Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management in a software development application
• Working knowledge of HTML
• Experience providing technical training end users
• Exposure and experience working in agile development environment
