The very first video uploaded to YouTube is still there. Co-founder Jawed Karim’s “Me at the zoo” was uploaded at 8:27 pm on Saturday April 23rd, 2005 and has been viewed more than 5 million times. It’s only 19 seconds in duration and not quite the most exciting video out there which perhaps is why it has not gone viral. True viral videos would rack up that amount of views within a day. In comparison, Susan Boyle’s video was watched more than 100 million times in less than 2 weeks after it was uploaded.jocuri logice

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting network and desktop hardware, software, and associated operating systems. This includes actively resolving end user help desk requests. In addition, this candidate will have a proven track record of both assisting with and leading IT projects to successful completion.
Essential functions:

• Respond to hardware, software or telephony Help Desk emails/calls in a professional and timely manner. Investigate error messages, hardware failures, and determine resolution. Communicate with users in a timely manner relative to when their issue(s) will be resolved.
• Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications.
• Evaluate, plan, design, develop, and deploy testing techniques for new applications, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout their development/product lifecycles.
• Configure and deploy Windows 2008 servers, and Windows 7 desktop operating systems with new and existing applications
• Perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches and reconfigurations.
• Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on servers desktops
Skills/Knowledge:
• Expert computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office 2010, Adobe Acrobat, Internet Explorer, etc.
• Knowledge of SQL 2005 and 2008 maintenance and backup schedules
• Thorough knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Windows 7 and MS Exchange/Outlook
• Knowledge of Client/Server applications
• Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure (servers, switches, routers, etc.)
• Superior customer service skills/focus
• Strong documentation skills
• Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with emphasis on rapport-building and listening
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Working knowledge of Windows Deployment Server preferred
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
• Ability to address rapidly changing priorities, including the ability to multi-task
• On-call availability
Education and Experience:
• Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years Help Desk/technical specialist experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• Excellent software and hardware troubleshooting experience
• Experiencing participating and leading IT based project implementations
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
