- JOB DUTIES:
Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. This position can reside in either the New York or Chicago office.
Provide quality desktop administration and support with a high degree of customer service. Technical expertise and understanding of client/server environment and applications. Advanced knowledge of the Firm’s standard software. Duties include, but are not limited to: Citrix XenDesktop and virtual Application administration in an environment supported by Hyper-V and VMware VSphere server virtualization; create, maintain, and distribute desktop/laptop images and configurations; create software installation packages to deploy to desktop clients and assist in the development of servers, scripts and programs; and provide Tier III helpdesk support; custom Application configuration, support and deployment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be specifically listed on resume in order to be considered for this position.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years information technology experience in client/server environments and applications required (Citrix virtual desktop administration).
• Advanced knowledge of Firm’s standard software (Windows XP/7, MS Office 2007 / 2010) required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Citrix XenDesktop certification preferred. A strong technical aptitude of Desktop Deployment and Management software – SCCM 2007, App-V, WSH Scripting, WDS sysprep, configuration, and deployment for Windows XP/7 and Server 2003/2008, MS Office, and advanced knowledge of PC/Laptop hardware and firm related software. Experience with server utilization such as Hyper-V or VMware. Knowledge of Active Directory structure, group policy, user accounts, and security groups. Capability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced law firm environment. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. Flexible with work schedule and travel (domestic and foreign) and have excellent oral and written communication skills. Clearance of Firm standard background checks required.

Reporting directly to the COO, the Director of Information Technology is responsible for developing, planning and directing the firm’s information management and infrastructure strategy as well as the creation and successful management and execution of the Firm’s daily user and client support mission. This includes managing all IT functions including but not limited to network administration; software application programming and maintenance; telephone, digital, communications equipment and process maintenance. The Director will provide comprehensive leadership to the strategic planning process for long term IT related needs of the firm and will work with key firm and client stakeholders to determine short and long term resource allocation requirements and priorities for hardware and software technology projects and programs, and will plan, implement, and execute projects and programs based on priorities, budgets and timelines.
The successful candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with 5 – 7 years relevant experience managing a technology department in a professional service firm. Proven IT operational excellence both with internal partners and external clients as well as demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others is required. Will be able to demonstrate a previous history of aggregating critical data across an enterprise’s numerous databases and systems in support of ECM, CRM and business intelligence initiatives.
