POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Network Operations Manager, the Network Engineer is responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems. The Network Engineer will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collaborate with network staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
• Manage and maintain successful network including LAN, WAN, WWAN, and Internet connections
• Configure, maintain, and manage SAN environment in DC and co-location sites.
• Monitor network security to protect against external, internal, and/or programmatic attacks.
• Assist in defining overall network security strategies and procedures.
• Install, configure and maintain VMware environment for Windows 2003/2008 network servers.
• Proactively manage and optimize multiple Exchange sites.
• Integrate servers, including database, e-mail, print, and backup servers and their associated software into enterprise systems.
• Configure, maintain and support customer remote access including VPN and Citrix solutions.
• Manage and maintain successful backup and continuity solutions in primary and secondary locations.
• Serve as an escalation point for network system operational issues.
• Maintain primary data center including all considerations for power, cooling and cabling.
• Configure, maintain, and support mobile device connectivity for Blackberry Enterprise and ActiveSync systems.
• Support Active Directory and group policies within a Windows 2003/2008 environment.
• Administer network monitoring software to ensure timely alerts of network issues.
• Manage, administer and maintain telephony and unified communication systems.
• Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
• Investigate developing network technologies and provide recommendations regarding the future application of such technologies and related productivity gains.
• Participate in on-call rotation
• Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Windows 2003 and 2008 server, workstation, and networking experience in a complex, multi-vendor network environment.
• Proven experience and success with LAN, WAN, WLAN and WWAN configuration management and administration.
• Experience with Citrix XenServer and Access Gateways.
• Experience with Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010.
• Experience with VMware in a Windows 2003/2008 environment.
• Experience with NetApp hardware and software including Snap solutions.
• Experience with network security for Windows 2003/2008 and Cisco devices.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a small team on multiple projects while meeting deadline demands.
• Skills in analyzing a problem, troubleshooting and resolving it, while providing consistent, reliable documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
• Windows 2003/2008 certification (MCSE) preferred.
• CCNA and VCP certifications desired.
• Highly motivated and able to work well under the pressures of a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Duties will include working directly with internal clients to define requirements and then organize and manage case-related electronic documents. This includes analysis; project design; development of specifications and budget; application training; project oversight and status reporting; change management; the review and loading of information into litigation databases; and coordination of all communications with litigation team regarding all aspects of the project.
