Software Training/Support Specialists (2 contract positions) – MO – Kansas City

- Lathrop & Gage, one of Kansas City's leading law firms, has two 6-month contract position openings at its Crown Center office for highly productive Software Training/Support Specialists for a firm-wide software roll-out. 

Duties:
•       Answering incoming support calls for our new line of applications
•       Logging all support calls in our incident tracking system (Issuetrak) and correctly categorizing the incident
•       Troubleshooting end-user application issues
•       Providing technical support and training over the phone, via remote proxy and at desk side
•       Identifying application issues (bugs) and reporting issues to Application Engineering Team

Minimum Qualifications:
-2 years previous technology training experience
-2 years previous phone support experience
-Effective communication skills
-Excellent customer service skills
-Experience and proficiency with the following applications and devices:
Microsoft Word 2003 (MOS certification highly desirable)
Microsoft Outlook 2003 (MOS certification highly desirable)
Any document management system

-Preferred experience and proficiency with legal applications:
Autonomy's iManage
Legal MacPac
        DocsCorp CompareDocs, PDFDocs

Electronic Data Discovery (EDD) Consultant – MN – Minneapolis

Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P., a national law firm based in Minneapolis, seeks an individual to join its E-Discovery Practice Group.  Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the details of e-discovery projects from inception to completion, including data collection, processing, review, quality control, output deliverables and data management, and
  • Consulting with attorneys, clients, and vendors to provide guidance and best practices on ESI collection, processing, review and production. 

Candidates must have a demonstrated knowledge of litigation processes; detailed technical knowledge of e-discovery issues and software, an understanding of networking concepts and experience working with networked systems; a working knowledge of Microsoft Access and Windows 2000 through XP and Adobe; an understanding of metadata; strong technical and project management skills; ability to describe complex technical concepts and ideas in non-technical terms; strong negotiation, analytical and drafting skills; outstanding interpersonal skills, and a strong sense of urgency and dedication to client satisfaction.

4-year college degree or comparable experience preferred. 5+ years of experience in electronic discovery and e-discovery vendor management at either a major US law firm or another litigation solutions firm strongly preferred. Must be able to work extended hours and/or travel as needed.
