Records coordinator needed for busy law firm records department. Assist with all day-to-day activities, including on-site and off-site file requests, processing of all incoming and outgoing materials, document imaging, etc. Other specific duties will include (i) daily maintenance of client's original documents retained in our off-site will vault, including entering new materials into database as well as frequent transporting and retrieval from the will vault; (ii) transferring client files and original documents for all Connecticut offices, including large file transfer projects following a C&L attorney departure and following firm protocol of established procedures; and (iii) administration of records database, including maintaining user profiles, updating room and circulation information, and troubleshooting database issues.
Skills and job requirements include strong database knowledge (records database knowledge a plus); experience with MS Suite; good communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, and diplomacy skills; highly organized with strong attention to detail; sound ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, prioritize and multi-task; routine bending, squatting, pulling of heavy files, and lifting of heavy boxes; periodic travelling to other locations for meetings and assistance; must be professional, friendly, well-spoken, and professionally dressed at all times.
