RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Data Center Operations Manager you will be responsible for advancing and continuously improving our data center operational practices and procedures, systems, remote access solutions, and maintaining our operational documentation. Establishing and maintaining a best-in-class operational infrastructure is critical to the Firm having the ability to deliver value-add services and to drive the firm's business objectives of building a high-performing, client focused organization. Key priorities include: managing day-to-day support and operations of office, regional, and firmwide data centers. Lead the Data Center Operations team in completing operational, physical capacity, physical security and media management tasks supporting all aspects of the Data Center environment. Must be able to prioritize and manage workloads as well as possess superior problem management skills. Responsible for developing and implementing all Data Center standard operating procedures. Take the lead on Data Center projects from conception through enterprise-wide deployment. Manage and create solutions to support short and long-term infrastructure strategies, including storage management, server hardware deployment and support and data center infrastructure. Supervise, develop, and coach Data Center Operations team. Ensure client services and satisfaction are attained in all areas of position.

QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience with increasing responsibility in Information Technology, with emphasis in data center operations, team management, process improvement, project management and metrics. Ideally he/she will have at least 5 years in a similar leadership role in a similar sized or larger company. Experience in a professional services environment a plus. A bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent is required.

He/she will have a passion for leading change, creating positive process improvements and managing projects drawing on a strong foundation of cross-functional, analytical, and consensus building skills. Broad IT knowledge with the experience and competency to translate it into systems/automated approaches is essential.

He/she will have extensive knowledge of:
1) Data center operations standards including ITIL;
2) Server platform security, monitoring, and performance Measurement tools and techniques;
3) Windows and VMWare server installations and troubleshooting;
4) Storage management. EMC experience a plus;
5) Vendor management and contract negotiation experience;
6) Knowledge of firewalls and TCP/IP networking.

He/she must have be results oriented with the drive to think, act proactively, be creative, to make decisions, and to strive to execute flawlessly while at the same time have the ability to roll-up-the-sleeves and get the job done.
