SQL DBA/ Financial  Application Support Analyst

Seeking qualified candidates interested in working in a fast paced environment for a position in the Information Technology Department as a SQL DBA/Financial Application Support Analyst.  Candidates must possess exceptional decision making and team leadership skills with the ability to learn new tasks quickly.  Excellent oral and written communications skills, attention to detail,  project management skills, problem solving skills, professional level customer service and ability to meet deadlines are essential.  Computer proficiency with Excel,  SQL database programming, report writing software, Windows Server, Internet Information Services, Java or .Net required.  Knowledge of Elite software is a plus and qualified candidate must be able to work with a wide variety of software applications.  Law firm or other professional services industry experience preferred, but not required.  Bachelors degree or work experience in finance or business required.

Litigation Support Coordinator – NV – Las Vegas

The Federal Public Defender, District of Nevada, seeks a full time Litigation Support Coordinator in our Las Vegas office. This position is a two (2) year limited position, and is subject to fiscal year funding.

The Litigation Support Coordinator will act as project manager to develop and oversee the workflow and ensure that information captured using the chosen technology is properly communicated to the team and effectively utilized.

The desired candidate will work with the litigation team to develop and recommend appropriate strategies to meet the litigation needs of each individual case and determine specific requirements for discovery and third party evidence collection, review, analysis, production, and presentation of case materials. Should understand the cost and case benefits of tasks being handled in-house or being delegated to outside vendors and assist in assessing and selecting the appropriate vendor for each task. Must be able to apply knowledge of the various aspects of litigation support dealing with electronic discovery including, but not limited to the use of Early Case Assessment (ECA) tools, keyword searching, concept searching, de-duplication by hash or NIST, document clustering, email threading, intelligent foldering, native file review and production. Knowledge of the various aspects of litigation support dealing with courtroom presentations including but not limited to the use of courtroom presentation software, timeline and diagraming applications and ability to set-up and operate audio/video equipment is a plus.

Salary range is comparable to a GS11 to a GS13, ($57,408-$81,823), depending upon experience.

Healthcare Paralegal – DC – Washington

- King & Spalding, an Atlanta-based law firm, has a full-time, non-exempt Paralegal position available in the Firm's Washington, DC Healthcare Practice Group.
 
Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs a variety of duties to assist attorneys in the Healthcare Practice Group to whom assigned, including database management and data entry functions, with a hands-on familiarity with the litigation support process and databases such as Microsoft Access and SQL.  Will also assist other individuals with the use of software applications.
 
Candidates will have the following responsibilities: 
 
*Organize and maintain record management systems in sophisticated and complex matters
*Perform data entry and data maintenance for health appeals by entering relevant appeals information
*Organize and maintain case files, pleadings, attorney notebooks and other materials
*Prepare and review forms in accordance with Medicare appeals rules
*Participate in court and administrative filings
*Keep accurate time records
*Maintain positive contact with clients
*Observe confidentiality of client matters
 
Job requirements include:
*Bachelor's Degree (3.5 GPA and Paralegal Certificate preferred)
*Proficient with Microsoft Access and SQL
*2-5 years experience as a Paralegal in a law firm
*Proficient in MS Office Suite
*Flexibility to work overtime
*Able to work independently, be a self-starter and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
