Background in all aspects of Microsoft server technologies, Citrix, VMware, and desktop security preferred. Scripting and application packaging skills are a plus.
Ideal candidate will have a four-year degree, excellent communication skills including the ability to create written technical documentation and procedures. Must also be able to work on projects collaboratively within the IT department, and have the ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with end users. Creating accurate and detailed documentation and procedures, while working under deadlines is extremely important.
Candidate should be able to lift equipment of up to 50 pounds. Position requires occasional travel to regional offices - candidates with their own means of reliable transportation preferred. Support of evening and weekend installations and upgrades may be required. Experience in the IT legal industry is highly desirable.

This person would report to the IT Director and Chief Administrative Officer. This candidate would have 3-5 years experience in IT, both with back office operations and working with end users to resolve day-to-day issues. The candidate must have excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, coupled with strong analytical and technical knowledge/skills and attention to detail. The role requires the ability to work under pressure and time deadlines, and thereby some flexibility to accommodate work demands may be necessary.
Principle Duties:
• Works with members of the Administration team.
• Assists with the automation of support systems through evaluating, recommending, and implementing solutions.
• Prepares for new software and hardware releases, including testing and quality control activities.
• Performs new hire orientations
• Organizes basic and advanced computer training on applications and systems via lunch and learns, one-on-one training sessions and group training sessions.
• Develops and continually updates in-house end-user technology application training programs and all training material.
• Ensures creation and maintenance of thorough end user documentation regarding software applications and other computer system procedures, including documented system back-ups.
• Monitors network utilization/performance
• Responsible for creating user accounts.
• Assesses and makes recommendations for organization computer-related purchases (i.e. computers, software, etc.)
• Monitors the performance of various databases and conducts maintenance procedures and backups of databases.
• Accountable for database access, security and integrity.
• Assists with the design / installation / maintenance of the information systems for the organization.
