We are currently seeking a motivated professional to fill the Sr. Finance Systems Analyst - (Elite 3E) position we have available in the Finance department. This individual will provide technical leadership in converting the firm's financial system from Aderant's CMS product to the Elite 3E platform. Once converted the individual will assume the role of in-house expert in the support of follow-on upgrades, ongoing maintenance, and interfacing the financial system with other firm systems. Responsibilities include analysis of the Elite 3E platform for performance, scalability, data layer and hardware configuration optimization. A key component of this position will involve the development of the architecture, function, and design specifications to baseline the conversion and support emerging business requirements.
This position requires at least ten years of hands on experience supporting enterprise-class database systems/applications with at least five years working directly with Elite's suite of products. The successful candidate will have strong SQL skills, in-depth knowledge of data architectures and schema design and a solid understanding of Elite's schema and how it integrates with the Elite application lawyer, front end and third party products. Programming background and workflow experience are a plus. Requires the ability to manage multiple priorities and complete tasks with minimum supervision. BA or BS in Computer Sciences or equivalent work experience.

We are seeking an experienced and energetic Trainer to be based in our New York office, who will also provide training and support for the Northeast offices. Candidates should have at least three years' experience teaching and supporting Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite of programs.  They should also have successfully completed an appropriate course of study and graduated from an accredited college, or possess the equivalent in directly-related work experience.

Responsibilities include:

Training:

    • Conducting training sessions on the use of firm-supported hardware and software.
    • Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of training materials (courseware, cheat sheets, computer-based training modules, etc.).
    • Analyzing and customizing software products for use by the firm.  Developing procedures, specifications and firm standards relating to the use of existing and future
      firm software.
    • Gathering requirements and developing software improvements (macros, forms, templates, etc.) to improve the efficiency of the firm.
    • Scheduling training courses and maintaining training room, training room equipment, PC configurations and functionality.
    • Maintaining course sessions and attendance records in firm's learning management system.

Help Desk:

    • Providing coverage for Help Desk requests (telephone; email, verbal, etc.), support of firm-approved software packages. Supporting and maintaining firm standards of
      said software.
    • Inputting call information into help desk call database; maintaining current database.
    • Assigning calls where appropriate to other support individuals; assigning calls concerning other software packages to appropriate person/department.  Contacting
      outside vendors when necessary; performing follow-ups and calls to outside hardware vendor.
    • Troubleshooting to resolve problems; researching and testing different techniques and/or developing new methods to resolve trouble calls in manner satisfactory to
      caller.

Project Production:

    Assisting in the creation, editing, formatting and printing of specialized documents such as large mail-outs, organizational charts, presentations, speeches,
    brochures, newsletters and other documentation requiring advanced software skills.  Requires proficient knowledge of advanced functions of firm software.
 
Additional Job Functions

    • Performing special projects as required.
    • Monitoring adherence to firm standards in the creation of documents and use of firm-supported hardware and software.
    • Continuing to increase knowledge of existing and new products and technologies.
    • Working with local HR contacts on personnel training and performance issues.
Travel

    This position requires travel to other B&G offices, including overnight stays, at least 25% of the time.
