Litigation Support

- Troutman Sanders LLP, an international law firm with over 650 lawyers in North America, Europe and Asia, is seeking candidates for an IT Technical Support Analyst in the Chicago, IL office. 
 
The IT Technical Support Analyst is responsible for installing, supporting, maintaining and tracking all firm computer and telephone equipment, as well as supporting Windows and MS Office Suite in a network environment.  The hallmark of the Information Technology Department is outstanding customer service.
 
The ideal candidate:
 
• BA or BS preferred and 3 to 5 years experience in Information Technology or any equivalent combination of training, education and experience
• Microsoft certifications are a plus
• Must have working knowledge of network protocols specifically TCP/IP, printers and peripherals
• Must have solid working knowledge of Blackberry devices and experience with troubleshooting
• Must have experience with hardware and software troubleshooting procedures
• Must be able to lift, move, and install equipment commonly associated with the duties of this position, up to 50 pounds
• Must have a solid understanding of LAN/WAN configurations and knowledge of Windows NT networking and remote access
• Must have a working knowledge of all current versions of MS Office Suite, MS Exchange/Outlook and Active Directory
• Must have solid customer service and communication skills
• Must have the ability to develop and document operational procedures
• Must continue to develop skills, knowledge and ability to improve processes and procedures, and keep updated on trends and developments in the industry, including meeting annual personal development goals
 
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
 
• Responsible for  moves, equipment additions and changes, including setup of new user hardware and maintenance of existing hardware
• Responsible for an accurate inventory of information technology Provide Blackberry support and add/remove users from Blackberry server
• Responsible for second level support for the Help Desk including after hours on-call duties
• Responsible for day-to-day operations of telephone support (including setting up and removing users in telephone and voicemail systems) and telephone conference services (including video conferences and setting up equipment)
• Responsible for end-user support for Firm standard applications and peripheral hardware
• Research possible issue resolutions including the use of Internet and other on-line knowledge bases
• Maintain technical proficiency by participating in in-house technical training programs as well as external programs
