Courseware Content Developer – OH – Cleveland

Jones Day, a large international law firm, is seeking to fill a Courseware Content Developer position in its Cleveland office.  

Primary Responsibilities:
This position will include working with the technical training team to create and edit copy for a wide variety of technical publications. Technical publications will include training documentation, awareness materials, and other forms of information.  The Courseware Content Developer will be responsible for communicating with technical teams, training teams, and end-users and must be able to bridge their informational needs. The Courseware Content Developer will be responsible for working with technical developers to understand the various software packages, develop the training and presentation approach, and then create web-based, interactive, educational courseware to meet the learning objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:  
Bachelor's degree in English, Instructional Design, Technical Writing or related field of study with a preferred emphasis on technical writing and editing.  Both technical and creative writing skills will be required.  Candidate must:  (1) have the ability to design and develop concise and clear instructional materials with the goal of explaining complex information simply and accurately; (2) be able to review, interpret, and edit technical content for both written and on-line documentation; and (3) be able to translate the purpose and use of software applications and technical processes into language that non-specialists can understand.  Proficiency and experience using multimedia technology such as DreamWeaver, PhotoShop, and Flash a must, along with a knowledge of Internet publishing technologies such as HTML and XML.  Candidate must have solid design and technical skills and a meticulous eye for detail.

IT Support Specialist – DC – Washington

The Washington, DC office of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP seeks an experienced IT Support Specialist. 

Status: Full-time, non-exempt, Monday through Friday 9:30 am to 5:00 pm. Overtime is required from time to time.
Reports To:  IT Administrator
Location: Washington, DC

Responsibilities:

• Floor support and first line of contact for all users concerning daily technical issues; escalates advanced helpdesk or system issues to  IT Administrator; works with other members of the IT team and admin staff to resolve issues.
• Application support (Windows XP/7, Office, Internet, FileSite document management system, macro and template package, legal-specific apps,  Adobe Acrobat, remote access, RSA token administration apply workstation images, email/client profile setup, etc.).
• Hardware support (desktops, laptops, monitors, phone terminals, flash drives, projectors, portable equipment, printers, cost recovery terminals, fax machines, scanners, etc.).
• Conduct application and hardware training (on-going attorney/staff training sessions - group and one-on-one).
• Provide Tech/AV setups for meetings.
• Update and maintain training guides and technical documentation in DMS; publish issue resolutions in helpdesk system.
• BlackBerry provisioning and support.
• Troubleshoot low level network connectivity issues.
• Participate in inventory/asset management and asset recovery

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years experience in working at a regional office of a law firm.
• Familiar with industry standards and best practices for troubleshooting hardware and software together with a solid understanding of a QC process.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 2003 Active Directory.
• Experience with the desktop configuration and support of applications such as FileSite (iManage), MS Outlook, MS office Professional Suite, DTE, Elite, InterAction is mandatory.  Knowledge of MS Project and MS Access would be helpful.
• Knowledge of Printer trouble shooting and maintenance.
• Knowledge of PC and laptop configuration and setup, drivers, lockdown security, group policy objects and profiles.
• Knowledge of Wireless connection and VPN a must. Citrix Xenapp environment a strong plus.
• Working knowledge of standard audio visual equipment and experience setting up and testing video conferences.
• Physical Requirements of Position:  Must have physical mobility and ability to lift and carry loads; ability to operate computer and other equipment; ability to operate and manipulate tools and components; ability to communicate clearly, to read and analyze technical documents and other data, to prepare and maintain technical procedures.
• Excellent customer-service, teambuilding,  and organizational skills are required as is the ability to multitask. 
• Ability to work independently and determine priorities is important.
• Must have strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• Training experience a plus.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or certificate program completed in computer/technology-related discipline such as:  A+ Certification, MCP, MCDST, Network+, HP, Lexmark Printer Certification.  Help Desk Certification a plus. 

Experience:

• 3-5 years experience in working at a regional office of a law firm
• 3-5 years experience with Dell computers, HP computers and printers, Lenovo laptops, Lexmark multi-function print devices/color printers, Blackberry and other smartphone devices.
• 3-5 years experience working a Help Desk answering and troubleshooting Level 1, 2 and 3 calls.

Litigation Support Analyst – PA – Philadelphia

- Ballard Spahr LLP is seeking candidates with two to five years experience as a Litigation Support Analyst handling large volume document reviews and productions; must have substantial experience with Concordance; experience with LiveNote, MS Access, CaseMap, Sanction, Adobe Acrobat a plus; ability to import/export/convert data using a variety of software packages; design and/or modify databases; design search queries; work with outside vendors to accomplish project goals; troubleshoot technical problems. Qualified candidates will have experience with and understanding of all aspects of electronic data collection, processing and production. Must be able to multi-task and have strong organizational/interpersonal skills. Evening and weekend hours as needed. Only those with litigation support experience will be considered for this position.
