Business Process Developer – FL – Tampa

- JOB OBJECTIVE:
Business process analyst and developer responsible for designing and deploying automated business process solutions to support administrative activities of the firm. Particular emphasis will be placed on providing technical support and guidance for the conflict-of-interest and matter intake processes including workflow, application support, and reporting, using Metastorm, SharePoint, .NET and Elite financial systems.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Provide systems analysis, design, development, and maintenance of Business Process Management (BPM) applications and reports
• Creating Metastorm process maps, forms, and reports according to approved Change Requests and standards
• Administering BPM Software (install, configure, upgrade, troubleshoot Metastorm BPM servers)
• Providing requirements, systems analysis, design, development, and maintenance of BPM applications
• Researching and analyzing ways to improve existing business processes that are not automated
• Providing technical specifications, system support, mentoring and assistance for team members
• Supporting the development of functional specifications, documentation, and training
• Defining, documenting, and providing assistance in the assurance of the implementation of local and organizational policy and standards through training and documentation related to BPM
 
SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Experience developing business processes with Metastorm BPM
• Web service integration for Metastorm BPM
• .Net and SharePoint experience
• Windows OS configuration/admin experience
• Experience with requirements gathering, customer interface, and meeting coordination
• Cross-functional knowledge including business and technology best practices
• Law firm experience (desired)
• Elite Financial and Conflicts systems knowledge (desired)
• Excellent written and oral skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to work at all levels of the organization
 
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree (major in computer science or business preferred)
 
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
5+ years related professional experience.  Professional services experience preferred, preferably in large law firm environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Knowledge Management Specialist you will participate in the implementation of the firm's knowledge management initiatives to improve sharing of knowledge and content resources across departments, practice groups and administrative functions within the firm. Contribute to the development of innovative, user-centered technologies and processes in knowledge sharing and collaboration to improve productivity and efficiency of attorneys and staff. QUALIFICATIONS
1) J.D. or equivalent degree preferred. Will also consider M.L.S. candidates. 2) A minimum of 3 years' experience in a law firm or professional services setting, concentrating on information or knowledge management. 3) Experience with enterprise search systems, preferably Recommind. 4) Knowledge of trends in information and knowledge management as they pertain to law firms; demonstrated knowledge of the range of technologies available to effectively deliver information and knowledge services. 5) Ability to take an assignment from inception to completion with minimal supervision or by following broad guidelines. 6) Advanced analytical and information gathering skills; ability to evaluate and prioritize extensive, detailed data. 7) Ability to perceive and analyze problems and to develop responsive solutions. 8) Ability to prepare accurate, highly detailed work product. 9) Talent for creating client satisfaction; demonstrated ability to focus on the client value in all work. 10) Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective internal and external client relationships. 11) Ability to exchange information and to present ideas, report facts and other information clearly and concisely. 12) Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. 13) Strong technical aptitude and understanding, including ability to quickly learn new applications. 14) Knowledge of automated information management, databases, case management, litigation support and imaging systems. 15) Expertise in online database and intranet research. 16) Ability to assess information, anticipate issues and outcomes, and make effective decisions. 17) Initiative to ensure consistent quality and continuous improvement. 18) Strong team management and leadership skills, with a proven ability to develop and lead in a client service-focused environment. 19) Ability to identify and support strategic objectives within the position. 20) Strong organizational skills and the ability to create organizational solutions where a precedent may not exist. 21) Creative problem solving skills and the ability to think beyond the task or project at hand. 22) Strong project management skills. 23) Strong team player skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse individuals at all levels of an organization.

Qualified applicants will possess a minimum of:
