Litigation Support Project Manager - Must have law firm project mgt experience.

Support individual case teams using litigation technologies, maintaining and supporting firm standard litigation support applications:
(Concordance, Summation, Opticon, LiveNote, Casemap, Clearwell and/or Sanction).

* Establishing a liaison role with case teams and assisting with any litigation support requirements
* Understanding the changes to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, document workflow and the best practices for the preservation, collection, review and production of client data.
* Consulting and advising case teams on best practices for the preparation of documents, matters relating to e-discovery and how to best use litigation support technologies to support their projects.
* Consulting on issues relating to selection of third party hosting vendors and evaluation of proprietary review platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS:•Minimum of three years of experience in a current litigation environment.

Requirements
LITIGATION SUPPORT PROJECT MANAGER - THIS POSITION REQUIRES BOTH:
1) Law firm experience (3 years or more)
2) Litigation project management experience ( 3 years or more)
3) Litigation support applications such as: Concordance, iConect, Clearwell, Summation, Livenote, CaseMap, and or Sanction.
4) Knowledge of Federal Rules of Civil Procedures.

We are currently seeking a motivated professional to fill the PTS Project Manager position we have available in the Practice Technology department of our Washington, D.C. office.

The Practice Technology Services Project Manager (PTS Project Manager) is responsible for consulting and supporting Perkins' legal teams and their clients in the strategic application of litigation support technologies. The PTS PM works with other PTS team members and coordinates efforts closely with the ESS Practice Group as appropriate. PTS Project Managers serve as the primary point of contact for all aspects of a project within the Practice Technology Services department and advise legal teams on application of technology tools to all phases of the litigation lifecycle.

Specifically, PTS PMs consult with legal teams on the discovery process including litigation readiness and records retention projects. PTS PMs will conduct client IT interviews to assess corporate information technology infrastructure and storage practices, make recommendations regarding electronic discovery service providers and technology platforms, manage preservation, collection and data processing efforts, consult with legal teams on effective database design to ensure efficient document review and assist in the management of document reviews.
Strong knowledge of the principles of litigation support software such as Summation, Concordance and LiveNote.  Familiarity with the litigation process, including all phases of discovery and trial.  Superb project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.  Excellent oral and written communication skills.  Strong case and project management skills.  Ability to analyze a problem/project quickly and accurately, and propose innovative solutions.  Strong customer service skills and fluent in standard MS Office applications and ability to quickly master new litigation software.  Demonstrated ability to take initiative, exercise discretion and exercise independent judgment.  Previous project management experience preferred.  Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of related work experience.
