Responsibilities The Washington DC office of Patton Boggs LLP is seeking a Web Developer. Responsibilities include: architectural design of client/server web enterprise applications, solution development and delivery project execution, documentation, interaction with users, relational database management, and illustration of charts and diagrams.
Technical Requirements: Five years experience in developing applications preferred. Global understanding of Microsoft products and networking in a Windows 2000 or higher environment. MCDA or 5 years experience developing in Sequel Server 2000 and 2005. Other technical requirements preferred include: 5 years experience with Visual Basic or Visual Basic for Applications; 5 years experience with one or more of the following: Visual Studio, C++, C#, ASP.Net; 3 years experience working with SharePoint technology.
Successful candidate will have solid experience and a strong interest in the complete software development lifecycle; demonstrated expert knowledge of structured programming language; and demonstrated experience creating XML schemas. Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate to technical and non-technical individuals required. Ability to convert data from project specifications and statements of work; prepare detailed workflow chart and diagram to illustrate sequence of steps that program must follow and to describe input, output, and logical operations involved; and understand complex database concepts as well as the implications of different database designs.
