Network Technician – VA – Richmond

The Richmond office of Hunton & Williams LLP is seeking a Network Technician who will work within the Computer Operations group to maintain daily operations and monitoring of all of the firm's computer systems, voice/data network facilities and environmental systems following established procedures and guidelines. 
 
Additional key functions will be to act as the second level of end-user support for network problems that are non-systemic in nature, to correctly assess and identify systemic problems and either initiate standard resolution procedures or dispatch to next higher level of technical support required for resolution, and to constantly seek new methods to enhance existing service levels.  Qualified applicants should possess a High school diploma and some college level or professional course work in Information Systems or Computer Science or job related work experience.   Working  Knowledge of  Windows 200x Server, Exchange 200x Server, Active Directory, Citrix , VMWare and Storage Area Network environments desirable.  UNIX administration and Outlook knowledge desirable.  Tape backup systems,  virtual tape libraries,  Backup Exec and NetBackup knowledge extremely desirable.  Conceptual knowledge of personal computers, Local Area Networks and Wide Area Networks required.  Candidates must also possess a minimum of three years of experience and progressively increasing responsibilities in computer, telephone, and support services operations.  Good aptitude for problem resolution.  Experience with Local and Wide Area Networks desired. 
 
To perform this job successfully, the incumbent must possess the abilities or aptitudes to proficiently perform each of the responsibilities and accountabilities described above.  Examples include:  ability to work well under pressure, patience, diplomacy, high stress tolerance, excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing conditions.  Visual acuity needed for transcription, extensive reading and input (typing) of information into computer.  Ability to receive and convey detailed information through oral communication.  Essential competency processes include language ability, reasoning and memory.

Sr. Litigation Support Analyst (Electronic Discovery) – FL – Miami or Orlando

- Akerman Senterfitt, a premier national law firm, is seeking a Sr. Litigation Support Analyst to be based in its Orlando or Miami office.  Reporting to the Director of Computer Applications, the incumbent will supervise an emerging litigation support function and support team, as well as coordinate all litigation support services for the firm.  This position will perform all levels of document management, including setting up Summation databases, creating forms, imaging, data processing, transcript management, project management and electronic data exchange.

We require a bachelors degree and a minimum of 3 years of litigation support experience in a large law firm environment.   Additional requirements include advanced knowledge and expertise in the litigation process and the use of technology to support litigation and e-discovery efforts, including Summation, Concordance, IPRO, LiveNote, CaseSoft products, image management software, and trial presentation software (preferably Trial Director).  Prior litigation experience is preferred but not required. Qualified candidates must have excellent client service and leadership skills, the ability to coordinate projects, have excellent written and oral communication skills, strong negotiating and presentation skills,  demonstrated organizational and teamwork skills, and the ability to deal effectively with all levels of attorneys and staff. Candidates should have the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment under strict deadlines.
