Litigation Support Project Manager – DC – Washington

Williams & Connolly LLP, widely regarded as one of the premier litigation firms in the country, has openings for experienced Litigation Support Project Managers.  Under the direction of the Assistant Director for Litigation Support, the Project Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all litigation support aspects of individually assigned cases.  For each case matter needing litigation support tools and/or services, the Project Manager is the first and single point of contact for the case team (i.e., attorneys, paralegals, document clerks, imaging specialist, coding clerks, clients, and vendors).  Duties include:

• Advising case teams on best methods for preservation, collection, review and production of electronic data based on case needs;

• preparing project design for case teams; advising teams on database design;

• analyzing vendor proposals and making processing recommendations to case team;

• advising case teams on selection of third party applications and recommending of  vendors and review platforms;

• managing vendors to assure that high-quality data deliverables and services are provided within negotiated schedules and budgets;

• completing technical data management activities such as: data loading into database applications and image viewing applications, CD-ROM/DVD creation, creation of production subsets and database maintenance;

• troubleshooting litigation support applications and databases

• assisting with trial preparations and courtroom audio-visual support as dictated by case needs. 
• assisting with analysis and testing of new or updated versions of litigation support software

• documenting and tracking of project tasks, media and costs for each case

Working knowledge of the following software applications is desirable: Concordance, FYI, LiveNote, MS Access, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Ipro, Summation, Sanction and Trial Director.  Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays, as well as travel are required.  Please send cover letter referencing this position and resume to:

Senior Software Developer – DC – Washington

Prestigious downtown litigation firm conveniently located near Metro Center is currently seeking a Senior Software Developer.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Developing moderately complex user interface features, database queries, and web page layouts;
• Building high-end web/windows form solutions and work with end users and project managers to take projects from concept through a complete development and production lifecycle;
• Troubleshooting litigation support database applications;
• Recommending, documenting and communicating data definitions, data-related business rules, data trends and testing methods as directed.
• Recommending opportunities for business process improvements and automation.
Successful candidate must be detail oriented, customer service focused, well organized, with strong analytical and problem solving skills, self-motivated, creative, team-oriented, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, and possess the ability to multi-task, communicate proactively to management, and ability to explain complex technical issues/concepts to non-technical people.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of:

• 3 - 5 years web development (including JavaScript)
• 3 - 5 years of .NET programming (including ASP.Net and Win Forms)
• 2 - 3 years T-SQL scripting (SQL Server)

Help Desk Analyst – AZ – Phoenix

Lewis and Roca, a large law firm with offices in Phoenix, Tucson, Las Vegas, Reno, Silicon Valley, and Albuquerque, has an immediate position available for an experienced Help Desk Analyst in our Phoenix office.

The successful candidate will work with a team of other Analysts to provide a wide variety of end user support solutions. You will also complete special projects as assigned. This is truly a team oriented and demanding work environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

- Receive and respond in a timely manner to all Help Desk calls.
- Document all calls received in tracking database.
- Provide hardware and software support.
- Provide software application training to small group classes and in one-on-one sessions.
- Configure and install desktop and laptop computers.
- Track and schedule hardware repairs and maintain equipment maintenance history records.
- Maintain and track a fleet of laptop computers and Blackberry PDAs.
- Configure and setup audio/video/computer equipment in conference rooms as needed.
- Provide after hours on-call support one week each month.
- Assist other Help Desk members in completing tasks pertaining to ongoing projects.
- Maintain a professional work relationship with lawyers, managers, and staff.

Skills/Requirements

- 5 years experience in a Help Desk or Call Center environment.
- College level coursework required.  Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
- Demonstrate expertise in all Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Complete a rigorous Office skills assessment test.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Strong telephone skills.
- Personable, self-confident, quick and eager learner.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of firm employees and professional staff.
- Ability to support users while exhibiting a patient and understanding demeanor.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
