Litigation Support Specialist – CA – Los Angeles

We currently have an opportunity for a Litigation Support Specialist to join our Practice Support team in our Los Angeles Office.  Responsibilities will include document scanning, support of in-house litigation applications, creation and maintenance of databases, including but not limited to Concordance, LiveNote, CaseMap and Sanction II.  In addition, this position will perform electronic court filings, and coordinate and follow up with various litigation vendors.

Qualifications:

*  Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years experience in a litigation environment including thorough knowledge of the litigation process and an advanced understanding of the technology supporting litigation efforts.
*  Strong knowledge of e-discovery best practices
*  Excellent oral & written communication skills
*  Must be extremely detail oriented, organized methodical and have great follow through skills
*  Must have the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
*  Must be able to work in a team as well as have the ability to cultivate customer, vendor and coworker relationships and have a willingness to assist others with courtesy and cooperation
*  Advanced knowledge of Concordance, IPro Build, LiveNote and Adobe Acrobat is required
*  Previous experience with Electronic Court Filing, Sanction II (pretrial preparation and/or courtroom experience), iPro Scan-It, CaseMap, Extranets (e.g., AMS Legal), NoteMap, TimeMap and web-based databases is highly desired.
*  Must be proficient in Microsoft Office

Information Technology Developer – DE – Wilmington

Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell, one of Delaware's largest law firms, is seeking an Information Technology Developer with 3+ years of SharePoint Portal development experience.  Reporting directly to the Director of Information Technology, the IT Developer will work independently on multiple projects, but will update and take direction from the designated project sponsors to deliver quality solutions to the Firm.  Qualified candidates will have the ability to map the following collaborative theories to the Microsoft platform:

• Information architecture
• Records management
• Policy & retention
• File plan development
• Document assembly
• Collaboration and routing
• Business process management and actionable business intelligence

Technical Skills Required:      
• Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint 2007 and MOSS technologies
• Proficiency with web part development, site definitions and features
• Experience with .NET Framework
• Competency in Visual Studio Tools for Office

Technical Skills Desired:
• Experience with SQL Server 2000/2005
• Experience creating custom controls for either .NET or Windows Forms
• Experience with one or more of the "AJAX" type technologies
• Strong knowledge of Office products
• Windows Workflow Foundation, Forms Server and Excel Services
 
Additional Skills & Competencies:

Senior Network Engineer – IL – Chicago

- Under the direction of the Chief Information Officer, the Senior Network Engineer's responsibilities include the design, implementation, maintenance and performance monitoring of all LAN / WAN services and backup services for each office location. This position will have hands-on responsibility and work closely with other firm department heads as needed.

The Senior Network Engineer will assist the CIO with planning and design of all network services, assist with new implementations and upgrades relative to the infrastructure of the network, and plan the expansion and upgrades for improved enterprise networking and can make recommendations as technologies change in the marketplace.

Must have proven expertise in the support of a Microsoft Exchange messaging environment and advanced knowledge of Microsoft internetworking technologies including Windows Server 2003, Active Directory, file & print services, DNS and DHCP.  Other required experience includes server and management and support of remote access (Citrix), voice (Cisco Communications Manager), mobility (BES), data replication (Double-take), back-up technologies, and video conferencing.

Additionally, this position requires in depth knowledge of network operating systems, servers, and physical network components, internet connectivity, and fully-meshed wide area network services (MPLS), Cisco VOIP Communications Manager as well as a general understanding of the SQL database language.

In addition to technical expertise, candidates must possess strong analytical, communications and documentation skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other IT team members and vendors in support of different project initiatives, along with operational requirements and Help Desk service requests.  This position should establish and participate in the development of technology-related policies, standards and end-user procedures as appropriate.  Candidates should have a BS in Computer Science, MIS or related degree, or equivalent education and work experience. 

The candidate must demonstrate positive customer service orientation and have excellent communication skills and be collaborative and team oriented.   Participate with other Information Technology Systems staff to plan and implement hardware and software solutions. Position encounters frequent and continual changing work situations as technology needs of the firm change and level of technical support needed increases. Has frequent interaction with vendors, consultants and others outside SA.  Is expected to move and or carry small equipment.

Strong leadership qualities, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills required.  A college degree is preferred.  Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in a large Microsoft environment including Exchange 2003.  Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in a law firm required.
