Information Technology Hardware Support Supervisor – CA – Los Angeles

- A national law firm in Downtown Los Angeles is seeking an Information Technology Hardware Support Supervisor.  This is a mid-level administrative position reporting directly to the Director of Information Technology. 
 
The candidate will directly supervise a staff of at least 5 technicians and must be able to work both independently as well as a hardware support lead to complete projects and support IT initiatives.
  
Candidate must also possess excellent organizational and communication (both verbal and written) skills, paying close attention to detail.   
 
The candidate must have the ability to interact at all levels of the organization, test, install and support non-standard applications to meet the needs of specialized users. 
 
Qualifications:
• BA or BS in Computer Science, MIS, Business Systems or equivalent combination of education, related experience and proven ability
• 5+ years in a multi-location environment
• 5+ years as a supervisor in related field
• 4+ years managing customer support and help desk
• Must have the ability to troubleshoot and research to resolve hardware issues pertaining to Windows Operation Systems
• Coordinate and perform installation of new and updated hardware and software 
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs of desktop hardware
• Develop procedures for installation and maintenance of desktop computers and peripherals
• Demonstrate ability to handle planning, implementation, operation and support of hardware and software in a large network environment
• Demonstrate ability to resolve complex network problems
• Demonstrate ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions from complex manuals and technical materials
• Ability to administer Firm policies and procedures
• Flexibility to work overtime on short notice and ability to travel

Help Desk Analyst – MA – Boston

Reports To: IT Training & Support Manager

Responsibilities: The Help Desk Analyst's primary responsibility will be to respond to all customer requests for service and quickly resolve problems during initial contact, as well as identify problem trends and opportunities to eliminate recurring problems.  The Analyst will respond to incoming calls to the Help Desk via phone, email or chat, quickly diagnose and resolve user problems at first point of contact, and escalate calls to the next level of service, as necessary.  The Analyst will follow up with users to ensure successful problem resolutions.  Additional responsibilities include: working with the rest of the Help Desk team to resolve issues that arise; compile and update the current issues list; document and contribute resolutions and content to knowledgebase; participate on project teams to implement solutions to solve business problems or system issues; continue to develop and expand technical skills and business knowledge.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.  2 - 3 years of related experience, preferable within a law firm environment.  Well-rounded knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows and familiarity with standard legal applications.  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.  Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
