Summary of Role

The primary duty of the Project Manager is to plan, execute and oversee the delivery of BigHand software and services to professional services clients within the Americas region.

Detailed Responsibilities

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects across a variety of clients and partners within the Legal, Professional Services and other industries. These projects will include:

• BigHand core voice productivity system implementations & upgrades
• BigHand speech recognition module implementations & upgrades
• BigHand mobility (smartphone/web/email/telephony) implementations & upgrades
• Business analysis
• Return on investment / benefits realization

The Project Manager has ownership of the client account when it has passed from the Sales to Project phase. In order to ensure the successful completion of a project, the Project Manager must:

• Manage and execute the overall project plan for each project according to the appropriate methodology using the appropriate tools
• Maintain a good, strong professional relationship with the client, acting as first point of contact for any issue or query and as the catalyst for any resolution
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
• Ability to interact with all levels of personnel from executive management to support staff
• Perform adequate requirements gathering
• Ensure risks are identified and mitigated against
• Provide business consultancy in order that our clients optimize the use of our solution
• Schedule appropriate resources to perform the necessary project tasks in an efficient manner
• Ensure project objectives and deliverables are achieved
• Make sure that projects are completed according to agreed timelines in an organized and efficient manner
• Provide user demonstrations and end user training
• Encourage openness and transparency so that the organization is aware of the current status of any project
• Report any project issues or concerns to their line manager in a timely manner
• Ensure a strong, professional and healthy relationship is maintained between Project Management and other teams within the organization
• Work with the Global Project Management team to help develop best practices and tools for project execution and management

Core Requirements

• 4 years of previous project management experience
• Degree educated or equivalent
• IT and Legal/Professional Services industry experience
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational, planning, multi-tasking, and interpersonal communication skills along with proven negotiation and client relationships skills
• Strong eye for detail
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• Familiar with remote meeting management and remote working
• Sociable and confident
• Honest and open
• Ability to be flexible and versatile in a dynamic environment.
• Comfortable with long distance travel and overnight stays
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project software
• Project management certification a plus

Hours of Work

BigHand is committed to providing high quality management of Digital Dictation projects to its clients between the normal working hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm from Monday to Friday. It is part of the Project Manager's role to work outside those hours when the need arises to ensure that our clients' are supported appropriately.

Practice Technology Services Analyst – DC – Washington

We are currently seeking motivated professionals to fill the PTS Analyst position we have available in our Practice Technology department.  The position is located in our Washington DC office.

PTS ANALYST:

While working under the direction of the PTS (Practice Technology Services) Technical Manager the PTS Analyst will provide technical litigation support to PTS Project Managers, attorneys, paralegals and firm clients.  The PTS Analyst will be responsible for handling client data in accordance with proper chain of custody protocols, ensure data is tracked and stored in an organized fashion and analyze data as appropriate.   PTS Analysts work with PTS Project Managers to design databases and establish workflows to support efficient document reviews and search and retrieval.   PTS Analysts are responsible for generating and performing quality control on document productions from our in-house Concordance system.  PTS Analysts are also responsible for processing data via LAW.   Other applications the PTS Analysts support include LiveNote, CaseMap and Trial Director.  PTS Analysts are responsible for providing software training & support to attorneys, paralegals and clients on litigation applications.  Analysts will interface, coordinate and manage outside service providers.  PTS Analysts are also responsible for monitoring changes in the litigation support software industry along with the rest of the PTS organization.

Qualified candidates will have excellent project management skills, be detail oriented, and will have the ability to meet tight deadlines.  Strong oral and written communication skills are required.  The ability to analyze a problem/project quickly and accurately, and propose out of the box solutions is necessary to succeed in this position.   The position will work as part of a team of Analysts responsible for working and supporting attorneys and paralegals to manage and track discovery data.  Excellent customer service skills are required.  Candidates should be fluent in standard MS Office applications and possess the ability to quickly master new litigation support software.  This position requires expertise in litigation support or litigation paralegal experience with strong technical skills including database management and maintenance.

Regional Sales Manager - Legal (NE, NYC, Mid-Atlantic)
 
Job Summary: 
 
This is a full time, staff position within the Sales Department. Responsible for successfully selling Omtool's products in the New England, NYC and Mid-Atlantic areas. Duties include identifying, properly qualifying and developing business opportunities; presenting to executive levels of organizations and preparing formal proposals; leading negotiations, coordinating complex decision-making process, and overcoming objections to closure. Individual needs to maintain a strong knowledge of technology initiatives and provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to management in a timely and consistent manner.

The priorities of this position are:
• Expand market coverage through new AccuRoute sales
• Focus on consistent and sustained quota attainment

Principal Accountabilities:
 
Promote, sell, and provide account management services to new prospects including:
• Sales pursuit campaigns
• Playing a key role in executive-level demo and capabilities presentations
• Proposal generation
• Develop a sales pipeline/prospect database of new business
• Promote the entire service/product mix, with prospecting/canvassing/penetration strategies to ensure the achievement of revenues and margins
• Conduct aggressive prospecting campaign through phone calls and face-to-face meetings
• Penetrate new accounts with customer satisfaction and results within the assigned territory
• Lead, prepare and brief the extended Sales Team leveraging Omtool's sales processes, resources and best practices to close business
• Lead the extended Sales Team in the preparation of accurate and comprehensive sales presentations, proposals etc.
• Clearly qualify new opportunities and prospects, determine the size of opportunities and articulate probabilities of closure, with cumulative 3 month accuracy of +/- 15% among forecasted accounts.
• Expand business within acquired accounts and ensure customer satisfaction
• Establish and maintain assigned or newly-formed client relationships

• Work with Marketing and Product Management to clearly qualify new opportunities and prospects, and determine the size of opportunities
• Execute Omtool's Sales Process (Strategic Selling)
• Conduct effective sales interviews, presentations and product demonstrations with CEO, President, COO, CFO, CIO/CTO, and IT project managers within prospect organizations
• Develop a sales pipeline/prospect database with a cumulative 3 month forecast accuracy of +/- 15%
• Maintain accurate account histories and sales activities records
• Weekly activity reports
• Monthly sales forecasts

• Uncovered market need
• Telephone prospecting - average call expectation is 30-50 calls per day
• Communicate the status of issues to management
 
Qualifications/Knowledge & Skills Required:
 
• Proven track record of 5-7 years (minimum) consultative sales experience in the software arena
• Sales experience in the legal vertical
• Bachelor's degree required. MBA helpful
• Proven history of sales success and exceeding quota
• Ability to function autonomously
• Excellent interpersonal, selling skills and relationship building abilities
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Well-organized
• Strong ability to be successful in a team environment
• Persistence and tenacity in closing profitable solution sales that produce value to clients
• Background in consultative sales in IT and consulting industry is desirable
